INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE «FUNDAMENTAL RESEACH OF THE PHENOMENON OF HAPPINESS»
Date: 17-20/12/2020
Social and humanitarian disciplines have been subject to significant changes over the past 25-30 years. And one of the most serious is the new “syncretism” of knowledge, which traditionally belonged to different spheres – natural and humanitarian. This convergence is related to the development of anthropology and other disciplines that focus on cognitive processes. In the 70es the Nobel laureate, world-renowned physicist Ilya Prigogine expressed the idea of a fundamental connection between the communication system and the work of physics systems. Yuri Stepanov, a member of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union, detected an essential connection between mythopoetics and logic. Significant progress has been achieved thanks to the cooperation of specialists in psychophysiology and linguistics.
The conference aims to compare research methods of various disciplinary areas and find common ground in solving such fundamental problems as creating the most comfortable environment for self-actualization of the individual in the course of learning, professional and social life and creative activities, particularly in the context of the transition to digitalized communication.
The issue, that is not less important, is to preserve the existing experience of cultural exploration of reality, a harmonious balance between perceiving objective processes and paying attention to individual processes which determine the unique experience of personality formation.
There is an obvious formation of a new “image” of a modern person who strives not only to be successful in his professional activity, but also to improve life quality, comfort, intellectual and emotional “security”.
The shift of emphasis becomes evident in the analysis of fiction, publicistic works, films, scientific and popular science articles, where happiness appears far from being a primitive synonym for well-being, freedom or luck, but a complex phenomenon that reveals itself differently in various linguistic cultures.
In the course of the conference, it is planned to present the results of the study of happiness as a phenomenon by methods of various scientific disciplines and to determine the universal understanding of this fundamental issue.
In addition to the academic conference, the program “Fundamental Research of The Phenomenon of Happiness” shall include a series of seminars and master classes organized in collaboration with our foreign partners.
