Coro di linguisti International Choir Assembly in Nizhny Novgorod: LUNN to Welcome Best Musical Projects
On March 18-21, Coro di linguisti International Choir Assembly will bring together best Russian and international choirs to become the first large-scale LUNN-based choir festival in Nizhny Novgorod in 2021. The event is expected to take place offline in compliance with the requirements of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor).
Children’s, amateur, academic, and professional choirs all over the world are invited to participate. Applications to be emailed to lunn.art.2020@gmail.com by February 10. Over 25 choirs – more than 800 singers from Russia and abroad – took part in Coro di linguisti International Choir Assembly in 2020. Pieces of modern, classical, and folk music were performed by professional and amateur choirs.
The Assembly pursues the following goals:
- to promote aesthetic, spiritual, and moral values;
- to develop international cooperation in the field of culture and art;
- to engage youth in addressing such global issues as interethnic security.
Coro di linguisti International Choir Assembly was founded by the Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod and is hosted by the LUNN Academic Choir (artistic director Maxim Ivanov). The project has the backing of the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Nizhny Novgorod Administration, the Committee for International Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration, Moscow State Linguistic University, Minsk State Linguistic University, and the Association for the Promotion of Art and Creativity.
