LUNN Winter School “Russian Language & Culture” 2018 for students from Austria has finished recently. The participants had rich cultural experience in Nizhny Novgorod. The “schoolers” visited the capital of Golden Khokhloma – the town of Semyonov – where they had master classes on how to make and paint Matryoshkas. Together with school children of some Nizhny Novgorod secondary schools the Winter School participants visited Nizhny Novgorod Christmas-Tree Decorations Plant where they also took a master class on how to paint and decorate the original glass-made Christmas-tree decorations. LUNN guests from Austria also had a friendly volleyball match with a team of Russian students. Among other events the “schoolers” attended theaters, ballets and cinemas. The general atmosphere was friendly and warm.
