LUNN holds the 2nd International Student Conference on the culture and language of Germany and France
"Language, culture and mentality: Germany and France as a part of the European language space" is the conference created due to the collaboration of LUNN and Minin University.
The conference was opened by Irina Zinovieva, the first vice-rector; Sergey Samozhenov, the Dean of the School of Roman-Germanic Languages; Egon Hein, the DAAD lecturer.
In her opening speech Irina Zinovieva said that the conference is designed to be a scientific platform for presenting new research in German, French and neighbouring countries' history, ethnography and languages. It can also assist in the exchange of academic experience and be a way to resolve the cross-cultural communication problems that occur in Europe.
The conference was attended by more than a hundred participants from France, Germany, Switzerland, and Russia. The discussion covered the trends in the development of the European language space as well as a number of issues related to the German and French language teaching.
Students were ready with papers on modern issues in studying German and French, the best authors were awarded.
