STUDIES
At the University of Geneva, students are welcome to choose courses taught in French, or in English, or a mix of the two. We are offering 2 French Support Courses per week (free of charge) and Intensive French Courses before the beginning of each Semester (special rates for our exchange students). Students can come for either one or two semesters.
At the Bachelor level, our School of Economics and Management-GSEM offers a bilingual program, in both French and English. The use of stimulating innovations in teaching distinguishes our Bachelors: we use simulation games, give classes focusing on sustainable development, offer students the opportunity to take part in an institutional project, give classes on responsible project management, as well as web-learning and seminars on developing interpersonal skills, and invite CEOs and managers of Geneva-based companies to give talks.
Faculty of Law - the Certificate in Transnational Law (CTL)
This is a one- or two-semester programme that provides students with a chance to specialise, early in their career, in international legal affairs. Students can combine courses taught in French or in English.
This a collaboration with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.

GENEVA
A city located in the heart of Europe
Situated between the Alps and the Jura, at Switzerland’s and Lake Geneva’s southwestern most point, Geneva is ideally located in the heart of Western Europe. This cosmopolitan city, the population of which encompasses more than 180 nationalities, is known worldwide for its tolerance and its open mindset.
Geneva is home to more than thirty international organisations such as the UN, the WTO, the WHO and the ILO.
This multicultural environment is reflected in the University of Geneva’s student body (approximately a third of its students are foreign), and its strong international relations policy.
